what is a healthy age to start weight lifting for a male?

im just wondering
im 12 turning 13 in Aug. is that a good age?
i either lift 50 pounds fifty times a day or i lift 70 pounds fourty times a day
i bench press
latley i have been lifting 70 lbs.

Everyone is a little different, and physically matures at a different rate. I will tell you straight up front- you are too young to do any heavy lifting. Consult with your family doctor and he should be straight with you.

When you do start, as young as you are- form is everything. Start light and your primary concern is to be a MASTER at proper form. As you master that form, then you can slowly progress in weight. You will find in time that expert form- not how much you can lift by cheating or using wrong form- will give you the awesome biceps that you want to see. If you lift 20 pounds correctly it will benefit your body more than lifting 120 pounds in a poor form.
